downtown toronto 1 bedroom apartments - Toronto

I am a young professional returning from France to work at a Bay Street law firm. I need an apartment for the year that offers me an easy TTC commute to King and Bay and the ability for me to come and go at all hours. Because I am short on time, I would prefer on-site laundry. A nearby place to practice my violin would also be an asset (not necessarily within the building). As I am allergic to cats, either hardwood flooring or a pet-free apartment is required.

Since what I am mostly looking for is a place to crash when I am home from the office, price is a very important consideration. I do not need anything fancy.
